KEEPING LOVED ONES ACTIVE AT HOME
When people get older, they often find themselves becoming more reliant upon other people to do things for them. This can make life difficult if they rely too heavily upon another person to help out around the house. However, this doesn’t mean that we should let our elderly parents or grandparents sit idly by doing nothing. Instead, we should try to encourage them to remain active so that they can stay as independent as possible. It doesn't necessarily follow that staying in their homes means seniors are automatically sentenced to ongoing isolation, and even if they were, good ageing care involves actively engaging them in meaningful activities that will improve both their quality of life and health outcomes for them.
